Caribbean Airlines Supports Hodder Foundation’s Storytelling Initiative for schools
World Read Aloud Day motivates children, teens, and adults to celebrate the power of words. This global literacy movement is about taking action to show the world that the right to read and write belongs to all people. World Read Aloud Day asks everyone to celebrate the day by grabbing a book, finding an audience, and reading out loud.
Caribbean Airlines’ Head of Corporate Communications, Ms. Dionne Ligoure paid a visit to the Coryal RC Primary School in Trinidad on February 05th to read to pupils as part of ‘World Read Aloud Day’ put on by Hodder Education in conjunction with the Ministry of Education.
Hodder Education is one of the largest school publishers in the UK, trusted to help teachers teach and students learn through a wide range of high quality resources and training events.
Ms. Ligoure had a great time reading to the pupils who listened attentively as she captured their imaginations in the world of story-telling.
The aim of World Read Aloud Day is to provide rich reading and writing opportunities for young children in Trinidad and Tobago and to advocate for higher levels of literacy.
