CARIBBEAN CAREER CARAVAN GOES TO GUYANA

Caribbean Airlines in collaboration with the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) successfully spearheaded its Career Caravan education outreach programme in Guyana during May 28-29th, exposing scores of students to career options within the aviation and tourism industry.

Through this strategic partnership with the GTA, the regional airline engaged Forms 3 to 5 students at four (4) secondary schools across East Coast and East Bank Demerara, on the heels of Guyana’s 60th Independence Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

The schools benefitting from this initiative were:

· Annandale Secondary

· President’s College

· Soesdyke Secondary and

· Diamond Secondary

Over the two days, students were introduced to exciting career opportunities within the aviation and tourism industries through presentations delivered by Caribbean Airlines’ team members and Tourism professionals.

The airline’s Career Caravan is a flagship initiative under the Education Pillar of the airline’s Sustainability Programme and our recent collaboration with the GTA highlights the power of partnership, volunteerism and community engagement – values that have been at the heart of the airline’s Sustainability Programme since its launch on June 3, 2023.

To date the Caribbean Career Caravan  has positively impacted 137,000 students and counting, throughout the Caribbean.
