The Sir Victor Sassoon  (Bahamas) Heart Foundation  hosted  its 60th Annual  Heart Ball on 21 February 2026  to help raise much needed funds in aid of children in dire need of heart surgery on the island.

Caribbean Airlines was a proud sponsor of this noble fund-raising initiative,   contributing  two return prize tickets  for travel between Port-of-Spain Trinidad and the Bahamas . The coveted airline tickets were  offered as prizes in the Foundation’s In-house Raffle.

The Sir Victor Sassoon Heart Foundation’s Executive Manager, Ms. Annabel Gomez,  in expressing  sincere gratitude  to the airline  said: “Thank you so very much for  your continued support of the Foundation and the Heart Ball. Your partnership with us plays an essential role, and for this we are sincerely grateful.  Every contribution helps ensure that families receive the life-saving assistance they need for their children living with congenital heart defects.”

Ms. Gomez  added: “During our last audited year ending, June 30th 2025, we were able to pay for surgeries for three children, who went to the United States. And ,  we have another child scheduled to go soon to Health City in the Cayman Islands”.
She continued: ” Without benefactors like you, we would not be able to assist children born with Congenital Heart Disease, nor would we have had the privilege of hosting 60 annual events.”
Caribbean Airlines remains committed to supporting legitimate Not-for-profit organisations and other community-oriented charities  which are helping to make a positive difference in society and which go over and beyond to help some of the most vulnerable groups in society.
