Lucky Winners !

The Ministry of Education (MOE) together with Hodder Education and NALIS ( National Library and Information System Authority) , celebrated World Poetry Day on March 21, 2023 in Trinidad.

To commemorate this event, students of Form One were invited to participate in an oral poetry competition, which also promoted literacy skills.

The competition was held at the NALIS, Port-of-Spain and comprised dramatic group performances of selected poems, in front of a live audience.

Parvati Girls Hindu College perform their winning piece

Students demonstrated a wide range of talent and language skills. Their portrayals incorporated the use of costumes, music, drums and diverse props to present their dramatic renditions with enthusiasm and energy.

Performers from  Parvati Girls Hindu College   were adjudged the  first place winners of the competition and were awarded airline tickets  for travel between  Trinidad and Tobago,  courtesy of Caribbean Airlines.
