Caribbean Airlines reinforces its support for legitimate community driven organisations positively impacting society
Caribbean Airlines recently provided travel support and baggage concessions to both the Apostolic Revival Ministries (ARM) and The New York based Lions United Sports Club, enabling both organisations to spearhead transformative projects in Guyana and Jamaica .
On August 06 2024 members of the ARM missions team travelled to Guyana where they provided much needed assistance to the indigenous Amerindian community . The group, which has been visiting Guyana for the past three decades to perform philanthropic work, once again distributed essential food and medical supplies bringing relief to many.
Christopher A. Lackhan, Director of ARM expressed his gratitude, saying, “The baggage concessions from Caribbean Airlines allowed us to help more people and bring joy to many faces. In the 30-something years we have been involved in this work; Caribbean Airlines has been a constant in our journey, and we are deeply thankful.”
While in Guyana ARM also hosted a sports day for 170 local children , which was well received by the indigenous community.
The Lions United Sports Club was also full of praise for Caribbean Airlines for its generous support in waiving baggage fees, to facilitate the transportation of wheel chairs and other goods which the club donated to persons in need in Jamaica.
The Club’s President Mr. Earl Davis, said “we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Caribbean Airlines for your generous support of our Goodwill Tour 2024. Your sponsorship, specifically the waiver of fees for the transportation of goods, was instrumental in the success of our activities from July 9-20, 2024.”
He continued: During this period, we were able to host three impactful health fairs, provide scholarships to 23 deserving recipients, and distribute book bags to children in need. The communities we serve were deeply appreciative of these efforts, and your contribution played a crucial role in making these initiatives possible.”
