Owing to the generosity of the airline's staff members the clothing drive was a tremendous success
Caribbean Airlines, the leading airline in the Caribbean, demonstrated its support for the young charges of St. Jude’s Home for Girls, Trinidad by donating clothing items. The generous contribution aims to help the girls recover from the recent fire that destroyed two dormitories at the home, formerly located in Belmont, Port-of-Spain.
In response to the unfortunate incident, Caribbean Airlines organized a successful “Clothing Drive” involving its staff members.
Commenting on the clothing drive, Ms. Dionne Ligoure, Head of Corporate Communications at Caribbean Airlines, stated: “We were deeply saddened to hear about the unfortunate incident at St. Jude’s Home. As a people-centric company, we felt compelled to lend a helping hand. We initiated an internal clothing drive at our base in Piarco, and we were overwhelmed by the generosity of our employees. Thanks to their kindness, we were able to donate three large boxes of clothing items to the home, offering crucial support to the girls. I extend heartfelt thanks to all our staff members who supported this initiative and contributed to its success.”
Expressing gratitude on behalf of St. Jude’s Home for Girls, Mr. Deoraj Sookdeo, the manager, conveyed his sincere appreciation to Caribbean Airlines. He stated, “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Caribbean Airlines for their kind and generous donation. It is truly heart-warming when corporate companies step forward to offer assistance, and it is even more encouraging when they demonstrate their care in such tangible ways.”
