Caribbean Airlines pledges to continue supporting Guyana Tourism

The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA), operating under the Ministry of Business, is a semi-autonomous governmental organization established on June 11, 2002 and is responsible for developing and promoting sustainable tourism in Guyana. The Authority is governed by a Board of Directors comprising of Government and Private Sector representatives.
GTA’s Mission is to develop and promote sustainable tourism in Guyana through collaboration to maximize local socio-economic and conservation outcomes and improve the visitors’ experience.
The authority’s Vision 2025 is to have Guyana be recognized locally and internationally as a premier destination for protecting its natural and cultural heritage, providing authentic experiences, and maximizing local economic benefits.

Caribbean Airlines supported the Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA)   as it celebrated tourism stakeholders at the annual Tourism Awards Gala held at the Pegasus Hotel, Georgetown, Guyana on December 11, 2019.

The airline has been a longstanding supporter of the GTA; providing special rates for international bloggers and journalists to explore and report on the wonders of Guyana. At the awards function two lucky attendees , Mr. Frank Singh and Ms. Nirwanie Samsoodar won complimentary travel on Caribbean Airlines.

In delivering remarks at the Gala, Dion Innis CAL’s Sales Executive Guyana said: “Caribbean Airlines and Guyana enjoy a legacy of cooperation and we are pleased to partner with the Guyana Tourism Authority. Guyana is a significant market for Caribbean Airlines and we transport over 350,000 people to and from Guyana each year. “

Mr. Innis  also thanked the people of Guyana and Guyanese Diaspora for their loyalty to Caribbean Airlines, and reassured that the airline will continue to provide a consistent, safe and reliable service to Guyana.
