About Caribbean Airlines Career Caravan
In 2016 Caribbean Airlines accepted an invitation to partner with Trinidad & Tobago’s Tourism Ministry through its implementation arm, the Tourism Development Company (TDC, now defunct) to be a part of their Schools’ Roving Caravan.
Following the TDC’s closure, the airline took up the mantle to rebrand and continue this project on its own. Now, many of the airline’s employees from various departments selflessly volunteer their time to share their work experiences with enthusiastic youngsters.
Further, thanks to technology, Caribbean Airlines is able to expand its reach across its network in the region and in North and South America. Some schools/educational institutions visited to date include:
-Corinaldi Avenue Primary, Montego Bay Jamaica
-Arima North Secondary-Trinidad
-Excelsior High School – Kingston Jamaica
-University of Southern Caribbean (USC)-Trinidad
–CTS College of Business and Computer Science Ltd’s (Trinidad)

Résumé Writing Tips
Its primary purpose is to provide a snapshot of a person’s qualifications to potential employers, recruiters, or networking contacts. A well-crafted résumé is the key to being invited to an interview.
The following are some basic tips for crafting a résumé that will get you noticed by employers:
- Tailor for each application: Customize your resume to align with the specific job description and requirements of the position you’re applying for.
- Highlight key achievements: Focus on quantifiable accomplishments rather than just listing job duties. Use numbers and metrics to demonstrate your impact.
- Use a professional format: Choose a clean and readable layout with clear sections (such as contact information, summary/profile, work experience, education, skills) that are easy to navigate.
- Be concise: Keep your resume to one or two pages, depending on your level of experience. Use bullet points and concise sentences to convey information efficiently.
- Include relevant keywords: Incorporate industry-specific keywords and phrases from the job description to help your resume pass through applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Showcase skills and abilities: Highlight both technical skills (e.g., software proficiency) and soft skills (e.g., communication, teamwork) that are relevant to the job starting with your most recent/present job or qualification.
- Provide an objective: Include a brief introductory statement at the top of your resume summarizing your key qualifications and career goals and how they relate to the position you are applying for.
- Proofread and edit: Ensure your resume is free of grammatical errors, typos, and inconsistencies. Consider having someone else review it for feedback.
- Update regularly: Keep your resume current with your most recent experiences and skills. Update it as you gain new qualifications or achievements.
- Include references: provide at least two professional references listing their name, position and up-to-date contact information.
Happy job hunting!
