Caribbean Airlines celebrates its one year sustainability anniversary

Caribbean  Airlines celebrates one year since launching its sustainability programme on June 03rd, 2023.

To commemorate this important milestone the airline, during the month of June (2024), will publish a series of adverts via  its  communication channels, which will  highlight its sustainability  initiatives and  simultaneously encourage  staff and members of the public to play an active role to help preserve the environment.

Caribbean Airlines remains dedicated to creating a sustainable future while delivering exceptional service to its customers. Through its Sustainability Programme, the airline is actively contributing to inspiring future generations, supporting the betterment of the Caribbean region, and the communities it serves.

Here are five (5)  key facts to keep in mind about  CAL’s Sustainability programme.

(1) On June 03, 2023 Caribbean Airlines officially launched its sustainability programme in line with the principles of Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) guidelines.

(2)On June 03, the airline also officially launched its sustainability website : cs.caribbean-airlines.com 

(3) Our Caribbean Sustainability programme is built around three(3) pillars: (1)Caribbean Careers, (2)Caribbean Community, (3)Caribbean Medical

(4)  The airline understands the importance of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and continues to make progress in reducing CO2 emissions, aligning with Trinidad and Tobago’s commitment to the Paris Agreement’s goals for achievement by 2030.

(5) Caribbean Airlines proudly boasts a diverse workforce across its network; with over 50% of its team being female and 30% occupying senior managerial positions; the company demonstrates its commitment to gender equality and inclusivity.
