Caribbean Airlines was delighted to be part of the BAGC's National Career Showcase for the first time this year
A team from Caribbean Airlines attended the Barbados Association of Guidance Counsellors’ (BAGC) National Career showcase, which attracted participation from over 2000 secondary school students this year. The event was held virtually during Wednesday May 26 –Thursday May 27 2021.
This is the first time that Caribbean airlines was invited to participate in the national career showcase.
Thanks to technology our team was able to connect with scores of secondary school students across Barbados.
The team members representing Caribbean Airlines at the Career showcase on Thursday May 27th included:
- Sally-Ann Carrington – Area Manager Eastern Caribbean
- Ayanna Edwards – Customer Service Rep- Barbados
- Zellian Richards- Airport Representative – St. Vincent & the Grenadines
- Aleena Ali- First Officer
Caribbean Airlines Head of Corporate Communications Ms. Dionne Ligoure in commenting said: “Caribbean Airlines was delighted to participate in the BAGC’s virtual national career showcase this year. We welcome this opportunity, as it’s the first time that we have been able to interact with this number of schools in Barbados, and we certainly don’t intend it to be the last time.”
Ligoure added: “We are also pleased that in spite of the challenges presented by the global pandemic, the airline has been able to press ahead with our Career Guidance Outreach programme, themed “Caribbean Career Lift-Off”. This is a key element of the airlines’ Corporate Social Responsibility programme where we offer career guidance and motivation to students. I also sincerely commend and thank all the members of our staff who have been volunteering their time to interact with students and to inspire them to be the best that they can be. ”
Since the beginning of the school term in 2021, Caribbean Airlines has virtually connected with a number of schools throughout the Caribbean region and North America.
